USB MUSIC CONNECTION
Portable memory devices make it possible to create and store compilations of your favourite music and bring them into the car for easy connection and playback via the USB (Universal Serial Bus).

They can even display tag information, provided the files are not protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management).

The USB terminal can be used to input USB memory, attach a USB compatible digital audio player. These terminals are on the front of the unit (Or rear depending on the model number) and have a sliding cover to avoid dust and ensure more secure connection.

Our Multimedia range of units feature a USB cable connection from the rear of the unit. Power is supplied to the USB device from the Kenwood unit via the USB lead.

Kenwood Music Editor Lite
Kenwood's Music Editor Lite allows you to readily create a music file database that can be used for compatible car audio system (see list below) from the music files stored in the USB device using a drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste technique. If you create a music file database using Kenwood Music Editor Lite, you can search for a music file by genre/artist/album/song on a Kenwood car system. (See list below for compatible models)
