NAVIGATION-ON TRACK-BOTH ON THE ROAD AND IN OPERATION

Kenwood navigation systems not only guide you to where you want to go, they make it easy to get the information, too. Packed with cutting-edge technologies (powered by Garmin), the KNA-G520 or KNA-G421 connects with most of Kenwood’s touch screen products for easier operation and sure guidance with detailed, high-legibility map display. Alternatively the DNX5220BT and DNX5220 double-DIN head-unit has this navigation technology built-in.

Compatible screen models for the KNA-G520 or KNA-G421 are; DDX5022, DDX8029Y, DDX7029Y, KVT-522DVDY, KVT-829DVDY, KVT-729DVDY, LZ-760R, LZ-702W, KOS-V1000 and KOS-V500.

MAP DATA COVERAGE
Kenwood navigation systems store detailed road data for virtually all of Europe. The 33 countries covered include; Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, The Czech Republic, Demark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, The Republic of Ireland, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Vatican City, and the UK. Now, you can travel anywhere in Europe!

KNA-G520/G421 COMPACT, HIGH-POWER HARDWARE
Maps covering the whole of Europe and the navigation application software are pre-installed in flash memory to achieve extremely compact size. A high-performance CPU drives the whole system based on position data from the high-precision GPS and gyro sensors, and navigation accuracy can be further enhanced by connecting the vehicle speed pulse sensor. Updating map data and software is fast and easy by simply inserting an SD card into the slot on the unit’s side.

TTS (TEXT TO SPEECH) FUNCTION
TTS function reads out not only directions, but also the street names during voice guidance when making a turn. This function is compatible with 7 languages including English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Swedish.

AUTO ZOOM FUNCTION
When the vehicle comes to a crossroads, the Auto Zoom function automatically, magnifies the map display. Also the turn list display helps you by checking your overall route, showing distance to your destination, estimate drive and arrival time, and turn by turn instructions.

ORDER SWITCHING
Whenever you want to change items on the Map data fields, you can choose from Address, Arrival Distance, Arrival Time, Satellite Status, Time of Day, and so on.

CHOICE OF LANGUAGE
The screen display and voice guidance systems are compatible with a total of eleven languages (English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish).

Of these, seven (English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish) are TTS (Text to Speech)

DESTINATION SEARCH
Just press the “Where To?” key to begin searching for your destination. The six search modes available are:

(1) Address (including Postcode search),
(2) Food & Hotel (Points of Interest),
(3) Streets & Cities (including intersections and motorway exits),
(4) Browse Map (touch and drag directly on the map),
(5) My Locations (memory Points),
(6) Recent Finds (up to 50 previously searched locations).

ROUTE CALCULATION
The Route Preference function offers multiple ways to search for a route to your destination including Faster Time, Shorter Distance and Off Road search methods. In addition, avoidance conditions can be set by specifying road type, area limitation, etc. The Save Route function saves up to 50 searched routes, and it is also possible to add multiple way points to the route to be searched. If a point that should be avoided such as road construction is present in the searched route, the Detour function makes it possible to search for a detour based on specification of distance.

TRIP COMPUTER AND GPS INFORMATION DISPLAY
The Trip Computer can be used to record and display current speed, average speed, maximum speed, and moving and stationary time. The GPS information Display function shows current status of the GPS receiver and satellite, displaying GPS signal strength, satellite position, altitude history and elevation information.

TMC (TRAFFIC MESSAGE CHANNEL)
The optional TMC unit provides real-time display of traffic conditions on the map. What’s more, the system can also recalculate you route to avoid traffic jams according to traffic information received.

 

POI's (Points of Interest)
Over 2 millon POI's are installed as standard in the navigation. These cover; ATM's/Banks, Food/Resturants, Superstores, Sports Venues, Hotels, Petrol Station, Motorway Services and much more.

Customise POI's can be added at your descretion including Safety Camera Database from various website Companies.
